About Us

Public Water Supply District #13 of Jackson County (PWSD #13) was established in the late 1963 and early 1964 with a intial customer base of 345 customers.  PWSD #13's first board meeting was on March 24, 1964.  PWSD #13's office was first located at a small office on the north side of Colbern Road, just down the road from our current office.  PWSD #13 than relocated to 22800 E. Colbern Road in a small trailer.  We have come a long way over the years.  We now have 2655 customer base and a bigger office to accomadate the four staff members and a conference room for our board meetings.  PWSD #13 services the rural areas of Eastern Jackson County which include Lake Lotawana, Lee's Summit, Blue Springs, Grain Valley and Oak Grove.  PWSD #13 is operated by a five member Board of Directors that meet every second Tuesday, of every month at 5:30 p.m.
